How To Clean A Laptop Screen

Have you noticed that your laptop screen has gotten filthier over time?  Does it seem like it is a magnet for dust and dirt?  Some chemicals and cleaners may seem like the will work on your screen but they can actually damage the lcd.

Never use rubbing alcohol to clean your screen.

Never use newspaper, toilet paper, napkins, wash clothes, etc.  Materials that are not 100% cotton contain materials that will scratch your screen.

How To Clean Your Laptop Screen

  1. Use a micro fiber cloth of 100% cotton t shirt or towel and see if the marks will come off only using the cloth.
  2. If the marks remain, mix a 1 to 1 solution of vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
  3. Spray your micro fiber cloth with the solution instead of spraying it directly on the screen.
  4. Rub the screen with the cloth in order to remove the stain.

It may be helpful to have your computer off while you are working on this incase you accidentally spill the solution in your keys or into the computer somehow.
